About Us

Neonatal Academy with Mobile Simulation (NAMS) was created by Deborah Bjorman and Amy Sytsma, two Neonatal Nurse Practitioners with a passion for education and the health care of neonates.

We started NAMS to make an impact in the quality of neonatal care in Nebraska and throughout the Midwest. We bring more than 45 years of neonatal critical care experience to the table. Our combination of experience, the STABLE and the Neonatal Resuscitation Program educational platforms, and the use of a high-fidelity Gaumard mannequin allow us to effectively educate and train other healthcare professionals in these simple but vital lifesaving techniques.

We now offer online neonatal courses. At NAMS our goal is for every healthcare professional to have access to the education they want and deserve. Our goal remains the same since the day we started NAMS, make education easily accessible.
